east side stories
Breaking through cultural barriers, one story at a time.
Formed in February 2020, East Side Stories is the collective work and effort of New York City Asian American creatives. We seek to challenge ideas surrounding Asian American identity by taking ownership of the AAPI narrative through film and media.
East Side Stories uplifts and amplifies the stories of diaspora AAPI in the past, present, and future that were are left untold.

march 2021: SHORT FILM ON ASIAN AMERICAN RESTAURANTS AND FOOD DELIVERY DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
A young Asian American woman is laid off from her office job due to COVID-19. Concealing this news from her family, she takes on food delivery gigs to make ends meet before her upcoming rent payment. Her story is like that of many others in America and across the world, trying to find a sense of security in extremely volatile times. She’s faced with new challenges, financial hardships, and fears-- but also discovers unexpected kindness and hope in community.
